Features
The yellow armadillo has 3.2 to 6.5 kg waight and the size is about 40 cm.
The head is pointed and flattened. This animal has moveable band son the Shell and two to four distinctive bands around of the tail. The five toes on the front feet have claws. The longest one is on the second toe. The yellow armadillo generally has 9 pairs of theet in the upper jaw and ten pairs in the lower jaw.
Customs, food and habitat:
Larva and insects and some times plant material.
Curiosities
Gestation period is 60 to 65 days. One to three young may be born per litter. Pups are born with the eyes closed. They make cliking and squeaquing sounds to elict a response from the mother. The eyes open at 22 days and the young being to take solid food at 30 days. They are sexually mature at 9 months.
