The summer environmental school returns to Mundomar
This is the only environmental school that aims to involve children in policies for conservation and respect for nature carried out by the Benidorm Park, both inside and outside its facilities.
Benidorm, 21-05-2019. Mundomar, a nature complex of reference in environmental conservation projects, consolidates its educational and recreational offer for children through its summer environmental school.
This pioneering project is designed for children between 5 and 12 years and aims to show the conservation work that Mundomar does and involve children in each of these initiatives. The school, whose registration period is already open, will remain operational during the months of July and August and aims to raise awareness among children of the importance of protecting and conserving the natural environment in general and the species that inhabit it, in particular, through play and fun and very participatory initiatives.
To do so, the Benidorm flora and fauna complex has set up a complete programme of activities with workshops, days with dolphins or sea lions, exploration routes, English, mathematics applied to the natural environment, games, shows and educational material that will allow them to learn first-hand how marine and exotic species live.
Children will have the opportunity to interact with different animals of the complex such as varis lemurs and catta lemurs within the educational context of the programme. They will also be able to participate in the giant tortoise’s feeding routine by learning about their diet and even helping to prepare it. In this way, children will be immersed in the world of animals in a practical, dynamic and fun way.
Through this initiative, the “kings of the castle” will discover unusual curiosities of the species that inhabit Mundomar. In addition, each student will have a dossier and work material to complete during the environmental summer school course, helped by monitors from the Benidorm nature complex.
